Battle Mage – Book Review

My experience of reading Battle Mage by Peter A. Flannery was simply exhilarating. There was not one moment where I felt like keeping this book aside. It kept me continuously hooked. It’s been long that I was so addicted to a novel before. I kept on talking about this book when I didn’t read it. And when I slept, I dreamt of the story.
I really liked the way the author gradually unfolded the characteristics of the protagonist. It kept me guessing what more awaits. I feel, that for a successful story it’s not only important to have a mind-blowing protagonist, but also great supporting characters. They help develop the story by showcasing their role in protagonist’s life and plot in general. This author not just makes you fall in love with the protagonist i.e. Falco, but each and every character in the story. He explains their background and also develops their individual stories marvelously well.
Making a novel relatable to the readers is not an easy job, especially when you are talking about fantasy fiction. However, this book was relatable in so many aspects by bringing in humane characteristics not just in the heroes, but also the dragons and demons in the book. You could feel all the emotions while reading the book, right from love, anger to envy and vengeance, it was all in there.
I would recommend Battle Mage to every fiction lover as I am sure it will take your imaginations to an unimaginable horizon.
